As you know about the legend’s used in excel charts. OBIEE has given the same feature when you apply conditional format in the OBIEE Answers, legend view is used to describe the context to tables or charts.
To create legend view, create a report with conditional formatting as below.
Your report will look like below screen, once you create your conditional format. Legend view will help here to describe the conditional format logic.
To create legend view, on the compound layout, choose Legend from the drop-down list.
The legend view will appear, on the first caption box, provide your logic name and click on the format button to add the conditional color.
Do the same for all required conditions. Click ok and place the legend view below the report.
