Ticker view is very effective in providing some highlight of the report or provding some static text to the viewers. Let us see some good use of ticker in the dashboard.
Let us create a sales report and show the sales summary using ticker view on the dashboard to provide a heads-up to the sale team.
How to create Ticker View
Create a report as usual with two columns, i will take country name column and sales column and apply sum function on sales column. On the compound layout, click on add view and click on ticker.
Remove the report from the compound view and click on the ticker edit view to modify it.

You can say Sales for @1 (column 1) is @2 (column 2). You can also use HTML markup to make it more attractive. Click on the compound layout check out the result.
